Belg
6085307-99 - America's First. A National Short Distance Ace of
All
Belgium and Belgium is known for short distance racers. This was
also
the case with the Janssen Bros. Arendonk. There is a lot of
prestige
in Belgium surrounding the short distance races due to the amount of
fanciers that only participate at 100 - 200 mile events. A pigeon
has
to be very smart and fast to win week after week with releases of
100,000 plus birds released together it takes a smarter bird to clock
first when he confronts the massive number of birds, different winds
and weather conditions. I think a successful short distance bird
could
be a smarter bird than a long distance bird.
The
family of America's First have won for the Herbot's Family of Belgium
up to 420 miles in young and old bird racing. They are very
consistent
in both head or tail winds. A family tree full of National Ace pigeons
and only built around race winners.
America's
First is a medium size, very strong body, super wings with a lot of
fight in your hands. A very clever bird that shows his
quality. His
bloodline is Verbaert/VandenBosch which is very capable of winning
races up to 500 miles. He won 9x 1st plus 8 x 2nd in two
years. I
don't know of any other KDBD Champion ever to come to America!

Herbots
Pedigree of Attila
Before coming to America, America's First was known as Blue Diamant and
owned by Jo Herbots. Jo had Blue Diamant for
a very short time before
selling him to Mike Ganus. In that short time he was able to sire a son
now known as Silky Diamant. Silky Diamant is the Sire to Jo
Herbots Super Champion Attila. You can see him listed in their 2006
breeding catalog or by going to the following link. *** Note the
distances that Atilla has won, from 234 miles to 358 miles, with the
majority over 300 miles. 16 times in prizes in one year. ***

GFL

In 2003 a son (GFL 522 01) of America's First bred 2nd & 3rd
Champion bird for
Ganus/Duhra loft, Yes a partner loft to Ganus Family Loft in Canada
where the competition within this loft is fierce.
These pigeons are
sent from Ganus Family Loft to represent the GFL
in Canada. These
races were an average of 400 to 700 pigeons per week. But
wait it gets
better, these 2 pigeons only flew the 2nd half of the season, yes only
1/2 the season and still were 2nd and 3rd Champion bird. They
could
easily have been the best pigeons in the racing loft if they were
raced
the whole year.
